Job Description
Position Overview:
The Vice President of Direct Marketing is responsible for the profit and loss of the Catalog and eCommerce channels, developing and managing strategies for profitable growth. The Vice President of Direct Marketing oversees the marketing and merchandising strategies for both the off-line and on-line channels, and works to maximize the Company’s return on its marketing investment across all channels, including Company retail stores.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the general management of the Catalog Division. Oversees all areas of Catalog and eCommerce operations, including catalog content, marketing, circulation, merchandising, and inventory.
  • Responsible for divisional financial planning and analysis. Develops and maintains annual budgets, as well as 3 year business plans. Responsible for performance with sales and profit plans.
  • Partners with Retail Division to execute an omni-channel strategy, maximizing the Company’s return on ad spend (ROAS), and optimizing the consumer brand experience.
  • Maintains a close relationship with call center to ensure peak performance.
  • Develops and maintains effective reporting and analysis to drive informed decision making. Implements marketing attribution modeling to more accurately identify contribution by individual channel and indentify opportunities for greater efficiencies in advertising spend.
  • Serves as a conduit to company on market trends and new direct marketing technology.
  • Oversees CRM functions. Performs LTV analysis by channel, and applies to acquisition strategies. Integrates consumer on-line data into catalog segmentation methods.
  • Establish, grow, and maintain responsible partnerships with all Direct Marketing 3rd party suppliers.
  • Plays a lead role in identifying and prioritizing capital investment in eCommerce and systems technology thereby optimizing future sales and recognizing efficiencies. Provides leadership and direction for best in class web site design and performance.
  • Helps to direct changes to the organization to support the evolving needs of the business. Develops staff to move upward through the organization.
  • Manages and directs all outsource partners – circulation planning and database management


Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
  • 10+ years in the apparel or home products sector, 5 with a national brand.
  • 5+ years experience in managing catalog circulation and merchandising.
  • 2+ years leadership in eCommerce national branding initiatives.
  • Experience in CRM and marketing attribution modeling.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
