ROLE

Under general direction, manages all aspects of complex engineering projects, establishes and maintains project management plans for existing and future environmental planning, permitting, and compliance activities, including communicating tasks and assigning tasks to appropriate stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF - ENGINEERING PROJECT ANALYST SR.

  • Establishes and maintains project management plans for existing and future operational and environmental planning, permitting, and compliance activities, including communicating and assigning tasks to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project life cycle: planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery.
  • Tracks operational and environmental project planning, permitting, and compliance activities to ensure project schedules, control resources and support stakeholder communication.
  • Takes part in permitting and compliance activities, including obtaining entitlements and environmental due diligence for existing and future operational and environmental permitting and compliance activities, contracts, and vendors.
  • Coordinates with compliance, permitting and government affairs team to track regulatory initiatives that affect environmental planning permitting and compliance.
  • Maintains working knowledge of building codes, safety requirements, environmental laws and regulations for transfer, recycling, composting, collection, solid waste and related facilities.
  • Travels, as needed, to multiple locations (intra- and inter-state) for meetings and on-site visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to qualify is:

  • Two to four years of experience in related project management, planning, compliance, or related engineering activities.
  • Knowledge of California, Oregon, Washington and Nevada state and local environmental regulations.
  • Knowledge of technical and professional principles, practices, laws, applications and programs in position related area including regulations for recycling, composting, solid waste and related facilities.
  • Knowledge of project management systems and methodology.
  • Familiarity with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.
  • Experience with computer programs, including Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Professional Engineer registration preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.
