Job Description

Danone North America is hiring a Quality Assurance Technician at our So Delicious Dairy-Free food manufacturing facility, located in Springfield, Oregon!

Grave Shift: 10:00 PM - 8:30 AM (Tuesday - Friday)

**SIGN-ON BONUS**

The Quality Control Technician I position supports the quality control functions of So Delicious Dairy Free. The main duties and responsibilities of this position will require the majority of time spent working within the manufacturing facility, warehouse, lab and freezer.

  • The Quality Assurance Technician conducts post cleaning & pre-op inspections.
  • The QA Tech will analyze mix samples for solid & pH.
  • Conduct allergen & micro testing & swabbing for cleaning verification for equipment/tools.
  • Conduct micro testing of post pasteurized mixed after HTST & in PT tanks.
  • QA will verify ingredients & packaging at start up, then throughout the production runs.
  • Conducting microbiology of finished goods.
  • Conduct hourly metal detector checks.
  • Collecting & evaluating retention samples.
  • Issuing materials & finished product, non-conformance holds, releasing & destructing.
  • Assisting in QA data management & database maintenance.
  • Stocking & inventory of lab supplies.
  • 5S the lab.
  • Participate in FM & food safety or quality incident investigations.
  • Ensuring GMP & GLP compliance.

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Bio Chemistry or related field is a requirement.
  • QA/QC in a food manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of laboratory practices & procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, at an intermediate level.
  • Must be okay working in/out of cold environments.
  • If you have piercings, they must be able to be removed before each shift.
